Since the Box Project theme is Protest, I chose an artist that comments on the social injustice on women in South Asian culture. I specifically chose this artist as I personally see this injustice on a day to day basis. I just wanted to make people more aware of the oppression that these women face and celebrate the stunning beauty. This whole box art style was inspired by an artist that goes by the name of Maria Qamar and has an Instagram page dedicated to her work which can be found @hatecopy.
